About Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club

Arcadia Bluffs opened in 1999 and almost immediately earned a place among the country's premier golf destinations. Designed by Warren Henderson and Rick Smith, the course sits on more than 200 feet of bluffs overlooking Lake Michigan — which means views on nearly every hole and wind conditions that can change your entire game plan by the back nine.

There are three distinct courses on the property: the original Bluffs Course, which draws the most attention and the national rankings; the South Course, a more parkland-style layout that offers a completely different experience; and The Dozen, the newest addition to the Arcadia Bluffs family. Set on a separate 160-acre parcel about 1.5 miles from the main property, The Dozen features 12 holes split into two six-hole loops — three par 3s and three par 4s each — measuring just over 3,000 yards from the tips. It's designed to be playable for every skill level without giving anything up on course quality. On-site you'll find four guest cottages, a short-iron practice facility, and The Porch, a casual dining spot with panoramic views of the whole layout. Many groups play multiple courses over a long weekend — and with Arcadia running a shuttle between properties, having your outside transportation locked in from the start just makes everything smoother.

Getting to Arcadia Bluffs

Most visitors fly into Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) in Traverse City, about 50 miles to the north, or drive in from Detroit, Chicago, or Grand Rapids. The course itself is located at 14710 Northwood Hwy, Arcadia, MI 49613 — tucked into the bluffs off M-22, one of the most scenic drives in the Midwest.

The surrounding area is almost entirely rural. Plan your transportation before you arrive.

What a Lakeshore Shuttle Trip to Arcadia Bluffs Looks Like

We pick your group up from wherever you're staying — a resort, a vacation rental, in Frankfort or Traverse City — and we get you to the course in time for your tee time. After your round, we're back to get you.

No coordinating rental cars. No designated driver sacrificing the 19th hole. No arguing about who's navigating on unfamiliar roads. Just your group, our van, and a driver who's made this run plenty of times.

We Know the Area - and we know what your itinerary might be missing.

Lakeshore Shuttle is based in Frankfort, which puts us squarely between most of the places groups stay and Arcadia Bluffs itself. We're local — and that matters when timing is tight and roads are unfamiliar.
